Co-parenting is challenging under normal circumstances. Co-parenting with a narcissist or a difficult co-parent is even more complicated. I have been divorced twice and have two co-parents. However, I have two entirely different co-parenting relationships with each of them. I have experienced the good, the bad, and the very ugly. With my first co-parent, it took us a long time to get to a good place, feelings and hurt between the two of us dissipated, and we both moved on. That is when our co-parenting started to run smoothly. It does happen. We were able to put everything aside and…

Summer is here and these are the cutest ice cream-themed toys for the littles! Let’s keep those kids busy with some summer activities with some super cute ice cream fun! We love anything ice cream-themed, and it’s all the rage this summer! A lot of these items would be a fun addition to an ice cream birthday party too! This family loves ice cream. Harper, the three-year-old got this adorable ice cream cart at her ice cream birthday party. We use the Melissa and Doug Ice Cream Set, which has little magnets on the very top of the ice cream…

This is a light-hearted, but informative post on starting a blog but being realistic. There is a lot of clickbait out there on blogging. My intention is not to discourage you from starting a blog, this is a release of my frustrations with the myths and lies out there about starting a blog 🙂 Recently, I was reading a blog post about someone who made $3878 during their first three months of blogging. Wow. Sign me up! I had been blogging for a few months and was slightly educated on certain affiliate programs and how sponsored posts work. In her…

Recently, my kids and I joined Raddish Cooking Club for Kids! This family loves to bake; we try* to cook. One thing as a mom I try very hard to do is to make special memories. I try to remind my kids that making memories, taking pictures, going on trips is more important than buying “stuff” or having expensive cars or clothes. One way I bond and make memories is by cooking with my kids. Cooking and baking with my kids is one of my favorite ways to make a fun memory. Sometimes I do a one-on-one with each of…

I always say you have 18 summers to make really great memories with your kids. I think making memories is so important. Summer is almost here (or is here), and finding summer activities for kids to get bored is hard! I would show your kids this list, let them pick a few of the summer activities listed to complete throughout the summer! It gives them little goals, they have fun, and you create fun memories with your kids. Make sure you participate in some fun summer activities and make those memories! Color or paint an indoor cardboard castle Do a…

Easy and Delicious Bananas Foster Oatmeal, no need to flambĂ©! One of my best friends, Teresa and I, go to this little cafĂ© in Southlake, Texas, during the fall and winter months to get Bananas Foster Oatmeal. It is so indulgent and delicious I had to find a way to make it home. What I realized, this oatmeal is so dang easy. So easy. The ingredients can also be used to make banana foster French toast, which is to die for. Bananas Foster pancakes, which I suggest and highly recommend this little gadget for perfectly round, fluffy pancakes with little…

I finally got organized and did a mini bedroom makeover on my teen daughter, Tayla’s bedroom! I can thank my parents for coming to Texas to visit because otherwise, it would have never got done! My daughter is 16 years old and wanted something more adult-looking. Nothing too girlie and more adult. I can only do bedroom and home dĂ©cor in small increments because I am on a tight budget. We did our best! I am by no means a designer. However, I use what I can and find the best pieces for my budget as a single mom. I…

My niece, sister-in-law, and I decided to make an impromptu trip to Washington DC to see the Cherry Blossoms bloom through the Capitol. We ended up spending only one day in DC, and most of our trip was spent in Baltimore, Maryland. We arrived in Baltimore late Thursday night and went to our hotel. I will be transparent because some travel bloggers make traveling seem like it is all rainbows and unicorns and all parts of traveling are glamorous. Our trip did not go as planned, but we made it a point to have a great time and take in…
