Welcome. My name is Jen. Life on Lavender is the home of tiny adventures. Here you will find all things travel and our adventures at home.
This is a story of starting over. Lavender Lane is where our new story began and where we built a home. We want to be your inspiration that happiness after divorce does exist. This blog is everything family and our adventures inside and outside of the home.
You will never find us running through cities or tulips fields in long flowy dresses or felt hats (maybe sometimes). We are a jeans and t-shirt kind of family. This is real travel, real family. I try to find the best hotels, food, fun and recommend them to you.
I was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, and am currently a self-proclaimed Texan. I am the queen of weekend budget trips, a lover of dirty rap music and farmers’ markets. I have perfected box cake and eat tortilla chips. Every. Single. Day. I am a little city, a little country. I am most undoubtedly tiny house obsessed, an unapologetic Hello Kitty fan. A pizza, and a donut enthusiast.
Life on Lavender Line Up-
Morgan, the oldest is witty, funny, and a brilliant writer; she is 22. She lives in New Mexico with her fiancé, Angel. She is an animal activist and often fosters from shelters.
Brooklyn was born an angel. Brooklyn was born quietly when I was 35 weeks pregnant.
Tayla, is my expensive, intelligent, hilarious 16-year-old. She is my travel and eating buddy. She is my ride-or-die and my New York City travel companion.
Aj, my only boy, is the sweetest, kindest person on the planet who gives the best hugs. Aj is 10. He is my kid that loves to cozy up and watch movies with a cup of hot chocolate.
Harper, the baby, and the boss. Harper is my active, already sarcastic, 4-year-old. You will often see tons of toddler content because my life’s purpose has become to keep her busy, engaged, and entertained.
We currently are in Texas. 30 miles outside of Dallas and 15 miles from Fort Worth. Anything Texas, this is your spot. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions on Texas travel or food 🙂
We travel to Las Vegas a lot, our family still lives there. And, New York City is where our heart is. I often travel to NYC solo and sometimes I take Tayla with me.
Our tiny adventures are not just traveling. Our adventures lead to motherhood topics like co-parenting, toddler activities, teen life, and reading when we are home. You will find some easy recipes. If I can accomplish that recipe in the kitchen, you can too! This blog is a little bit of everything, and I will have something for everyone, promise.
We would love for you to be part of our tiny adventures, welcome.
