Italian Pasta Salad Recipe with a fun little secret Chick-Fil-A ingredient! Colorful and zesty cold pasta salad perfect for picnics, BBQs or side item for dinner!

Ingredients

  • pound box Rotini Tri-Colored Dry Pasta (not veggie flavored)
  • 3/4 cup Olive Garden Italian Dressing (if available) or any Italian dressing
  • 8 oz Mozzarella Pearls (or 5 string cheese sticks :)
  • 1 pint Grape Tomatoes
  • 1 pint Golden Cherry Tomatoes (or variety pack of snacking tomatoes)
  • 4 Mini Sweet Peppers (yellow, orange, red)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 2 Chick-Fil-A Garden Ranch Herb Packets (or 2 tbsp ranch dressing or creamy caesar worls well too)

Instructions

  • Boil pasta according to package, with pasta salad you want the pasta to remain with a "bite" nobody likes soggy pasta salad. undercook the pasta, slightly.
  • Drain pasta, run cold water to stop the pasta from cooking. Place in large bowl, set aside to cool further.
  • Cut tomatoes into halves or quartered, however you like. I leave the smaller ones whole.
  • Dice sweet peppers. You can add more or less sweet peppers according to your taste.
  • Take Mozzarella out of package. If using string cheese, cut into pieces, you may add less or more.
  • Add tomatoes, mozzarella, peppers, salt, pepper, Italian dressing and ranch packets to cooled pasta. mix well.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least six hours for a nice, refreshing pasta salad. I like it to make it the night before so all the flavors "marinate." Mix well before serving and add more Italian dressing if needed!!
